Local Reporter Was Not Ready For The New “Guardians of the Galaxy” Ride

Ah, local news, the bastion of information and justice in our cities fueled by the hard work of reporters digging for truth. That and one of the better sources of live bloopers. Local reporters are frequently caught unaware by cameras or fall prey to local pranksters trying to get their 15 seconds of viral fame. This reporter falls into the latter group.

Action news reporter Cory James was sent to Disneyland to preview the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout ride. The new attraction is a rebranding of The Tower of Terror, one of Disney’s most iconic rides that repeatedly drops its passengers into free fall. It doesn’t look like Cory James knew that before getting on the ride.

James also wore Groot hands the entire ride, which only added to the hilarity of the situation. Every drop was sheer terror to James, who soon started to annoy his passengers.

His seat mate was not amused.

I guess he wanted a straight forward thrill ride; no fun, no frills–just a group of steely-eyed passengers braving a “Guardians of the Galaxy” amusement. Disney isn’t for the weak, it’s for the bold. For that we salute you, blinking hair guy.
