With the death toll rising and hundreds of people still injured after the deadly shooting in Las Vegas, people across the country are wanting to jump into action and do what they can to help. In fact, the Las Vegas blood donation center was reportedly full by 3:48 a.m. with people wanting to donate to the recovering victims.
If you’re looking for ways to help, there’s plenty you can do no matter your location. If you’re in or near the Las Vegas area, there are several blood drives around the city and in neighboring towns where you can donate blood.
If you’re not in the Las Vegas area, you can use the American Red Cross website and type in your zip code to see if there are any pop-up blood drives happening near you. If giving blood isn’t an option, you can consider donating money to the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross, which accepts online donations.
You may also consider donating to other organizations in Las Vegas that help with mental health and emotional recovery for those who witnessed the incident or who are grieving the loss of their loved ones.
And of course, continue to keep the witnesses, victims and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
