I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again– making Christmas music your own is a tough business. However, an even tougher business (apparently) is creating a music video to go with your Christmas music. A few country artists have nailed it over the years, but even more have not.
8 Country Music Christmas Videos That Are Pretty Bad:
1. SHeDAISY
SHeDAISY’s version of “Deck The Halls” has always been pretty cool, but their video for the song features floating heads, magic, a grandmother intrigued by magic, animated Disney Christmas cards and more floating heads.
2. Faith Hill
Hill’s version of “Where Are you Christmas” was originally featured in “How The Grinch Stole Christmas,” which explains a lot of the video, but something that is still unexplainable 17 years later? Her crimped hair.
3. Dolly Parton
Parton’s video for “Smoky Mountain Christmas” would be fine, if she wasn’t sitting in a family’s home as they do all kinds of things. Kind of creepy.
4. Joe Diffie
Nothing says Christmas like dozens of mullets.
5. Rascal Flatts
The first 18 seconds of this video are the most awkward seconds you’ll ever watch.
6. Martina McBride
Martina McBride, the ghost of Christmas past?!
8. The Tractors
Speechless.
