Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, better known as Florida Georgia Line, love playing at the Grand Ole Opry and everything that comes along with it. The boys often wander the halls to seek inspiration and try to soak up every second they can in the building and on the historic stage.

During a recent visit to the famed venue the boys sat down to talk about the story behind their latest hit single, “Sippin’ On Fire.” The duo usually looks for one thing when deciding to cut a song– is it real and will fans relate?

“‘Sippin’ on Fire’ was one of those songs that was a special one from the first time we heard it,” Hubbard says. “We knew we wanted to cut it, and then as we continued to play it live, and just even get closer to that song, we just felt like it was a perfect single for after ‘Sun Daze.’ We’re just excited. It’s fun to watch it climb the charts and do its thing. We play it live every night, and the fans seem to love it.”

It was even more special to perform it on the Opry stage. “It was amazing to be back at the Opry,” Kelley says. “The Opry, man, it is tradition, it is family. It is real. It is country music, man, no doubt.”

Florida Georgia Line won Top Country Artist at the recent Billboard Music Awards and are currently on their Anything Goes Tour.
