The Big Revival tour is underway and Kenny Chesney is putting some major miles on the odometer this year. He did find time to make a stop back in Nashville to celebrate not one, but two No. 1 Hit.
“American Kids” and “’Til It’s Gone” were back-to-back No. 1s for Chesney off of The Big Revival record.
Chesney said after hearing the first few seconds of “American Kids” he knew he would cut it. “You have no idea how much fun it is to play on stage.”
Also on hand to celebrate the success were songwriters Luke Laird, Shane McAnally and Rodney Clawson.
“’Til It’s Gone” was written by Rodney Clawson, Jimmy Yeary and David Lee Murphy.
Chesney told the BMI party crowd he is currently working on producing a new album with David Lee Murphy whom he loving called “the first hillbilly rockstar.”
Murphy is known for his hits “Dust On the Bottle” and “Party Crowd,” but he will have to wear that producer hat while he is back out on the road.
Chesney’s The Big Revival tour and Jason Aldean’s Burn it Down tour join forces for 12 different dates this summer.
